1. About Busy Bee Magazine and online directory

Busy Bee Magazine and online directory offering reasonably priced yet effective advertising solutions for businesses who offer products or services to the Swindon area.

2. Why is the magazine called 'Busy Bee'?

Busy Bee works in a number of ways, it is a community magazine (hive of the community), it offers services to 'busy people' and our advertisers become very 'busy bees' when they advertise in the magazine and online directory.

3. Who owns Busy Bee Magazine and online directory?

Busy Bee magazine and online directory is a family run business. Theresa Sheridan and Gary Self are the company directors and Theresa deals with everything from sales through to making the magazine - well everything except for printing the magazine and this is done by a London company.

4. Where is the magazine distributed to?

Busy Bee Magazine is a free magazine which is distributed by our own in-house team of distributors to 30,000 Swindon homes. We deliver to the following areas: Highworth, Blunsdon, Wootton Bassett, Purton, Eldene, Covingham, and the North and West Swindon areas (with the exception of Toothill).

5. How many magazines are distributed and what is the circulation of the magazine?

We print 30,000 magazines which go out once a month. We spot check that magazines are delivered in all of our areas and while we are out spot checking we ask householders the following questions: What they think of the magazine, how many people in their household read the magazine and what they like/dislike most about the magazine. Based on our figures an average of 2.5 people read each magazine - this makes our circulation 75,000. This does not include our online digital copy of the magazine which is also widely read in and outside of Swindon.

6. Why should I advertise my business in the Busy Bee Magazine?

The feedback that we receive from our advertisers is integral to keeping the magazine out there and once the ad is placed and the magazine goes out we then call our advertisers to find out how their advertising is working for them.
